This feature provides a capability to associate a batch of goods with a number and to trace the activities of the lot as well as to view the balance of the lot.
This feature is particularly useful for industries where qualities vary among batches and where safety is a key issue, such as the pharmaceutical and the food industries.

A field is available for entering the lot number of each item. The lot number may be user-input or generated by date plus invoice number.

Costs of a lot are derived from the purchase costs of the specific lots. Dynamic supports FIFO in term of lot number, expiry date and production date.
